Lake Blidinje
Blidinj lake is one of the most special places in Bosnia and Herzegovina — a combination of untouched nature, mountain peace, clean air and adventure all year round. Blidinj Lake is located at more than 1,100 meters above sea level and is known for its incredible peace, vast open landscapes and a feeling of complete connection with nature. Surrounded by dense munika forests and high mountains, Masna Luka is known for its Franciscan monastery, beautiful promenades and incredible peace that attracts visitors from all over the region. This is the perfect place to relax, take easy walks and enjoy nature without crowds and noise.
Blidinje is also known for its unique flora and fauna. This area is home to the endemic munika pine, one of the rarest pine species in Europe, as well as numerous wild animals. Nature lovers often come precisely for the feeling of untouched wilderness and authentic mountain ambience.
During winter, the entire area turns into a real winter idyll. Snow, wooden cottages, mountain landscapes and the proximity of the Risovac Ski Center make Blidinje an ideal place for a winter vacation.
