🐎 Wild (feral) horses on the mountain Cincar / Krug
Livno is a unique place in the world where about 400-500 horses live in the wild above Livnjski polje, on the Kruzi mountain plateau below Cincara peak. These "Bosnian mustangs" were released into the wild decades ago and today they represent a natural spectacle to which tourists come from all over the world.
The jeep safari experience brings a close encounter with the herd—photographs, feeding them with the salt they know, and even the feeling of being surrounded. Tours are organized that include a picnic and expert guides from Livno Wild Horses Adventure. Reuters reports that these tours are growing in popularity, while local authorities are considering additional protection for the horses due to their tourism potential
